Newport Astronomy Club
Newport Astronomy Club meets regularly for observation sessions, workshops and talks. Observation sessions generally take place at the Bothy in Letterkeen Woods, part of the gold tier Mayo International Dark Sky Park. If you have an interest in the night sky or a telescope gathering dust in the attic, why not join us? No previous knowledge or experience required, and you don’t even need to own a telescope!

Children's Chess Club
The Holy Family National School chess club endeavours to teach basic tactics, strategy and notation to play actively. Competition is low key. Open to primary school pupils.
